Hi, I'm Kelly

I'm an Acupuncturist and Holistic Nutritionist in Richmond, VA and I'm on a mission to integrate the wisdom of the traditional healing arts into our fast paced lives and modern approach to healthcare.

After 5 years of pre-medical undergraduate studies in my home state of Florida and continuing to struggle with a growing list of seemingly unrelated health issues I decided I wanted to be involved with healthcare in a way that took a more holistic approach.  So, I packed my bags (and my car) and moved to Portland, Oregon to explore the city's rich natural and alternative medicine presence.

ho·lis·tic [hoh-lis-tik] (adj): 1. relating to the whole of something or to the total system instead of just to its parts; 2. Holistic medicine attempts to treat the whole person, including mind and body, not just the injury or disease.

After another 5 years of study I had received my Master of Acupuncture from the National University of Natural Medicine while concurrently completing my certification as a Holistic Nutritionist (heavily focused on the integration of Eastern and Western dietetics and "food as medicine") at the Wellspring School of Healing Arts.

I have experienced personally the profound and multi-faceted effect integrating this well-rounded, natural approach has had on my health and have seen it over and over again with patients.

Both by receiving holistic care and learning to provide it to others, the connections and cause/effect relationships between my hormonal and digestive symptoms naturally began to reveal themselves. Through a combination of acupuncture, naturopathy, changes to my diet, and some (majorly needed) stress management techniques my body was finally able to heal and I discovered a new baseline of balance: physically, mentally, and emotionally.

I needed a more intuitive counterpart to what had been previously available to me as a patient, something that would zoom out and see me in my entirety. This is where I see Classical Chinese Medicine really shine and now as a practitioner my passion lies in sharing this incredible option with others.

There is a perfect counterpart to modern, Western medicine that gives us a fresh perspective and helps fill in the gaps ...and it's been around for a while...

In working together we will not only address your areas of concern at their root cause, which encourages long-term and sustainable healing, we will also build your own personal playbook for how to maintain balance and flow even in the midst of life's ups and downs; life's waxing and waning. The more empowered and aware you become, the less work I have to do. And this is the way it should be!

If there's one thing I've learned going from a natural medicine novice to a natural medicine practitioner, it's that even the smallest steps towards integration make a huge impact.

In my practice I incorporate gentle needling with combinations of body work, tuning fork vibrational therapy, moxibustion, aromatherapy, and glass fire cupping + nutrition and supplementation therapy depending on your needs.

From complex auto-immune, digestive disorders, and food sensitivities to stubborn hormonal imbalances and menstrual irregularities. From fatigue and chronic pain to managing anxiety/depression. From combatting the effects of STRESS to building RESILIENCE in the face of it...

There are resources. You have options. I'm here to help.
